It may not be a metal song by definition, or even a rock song, but it is definitely a shining star in this collection. I'm very interested in others' opinion! However, they soon hit a huge speed-bump on the highway to stardom as their lead vocalist, Danny Worsnop, up and left to work on his rock supergroup We Are Harlot and, eventually, a country solo project. Since then Lancaster and Binns departed from the band in 2009 with Lancaster joining metalcore band With One Last Breath, with bassist Sam Bettley joining the band that same year, and in January 2015 Worsnop departed to focus on his new band We Are Harlot; his replacement is yet to be announced. Killing You knows how that feels, so Asking Alexandria helpfully produced a butt-kicking soundtrack to such testing times. Asking Alexandria will be available via Sumerian Records on 15th December.

Or, all of that would be the case. Leveler - This album hits the mark on some points and misses on others. The guitar work on Suburbia is A1 though. Standout Song - The Eleventh Hour 5. For pretty much their entire existence, Asking Alexandria has been both critically acclaimed and brutally panned by the general public. The end result is a disc that offers its listener mighty melody after mighty melody, with next to no filler in sight. It showcases a different aspect of the band with superb songwriting and arrangement. And then we noticed a lot of bands doing that, too.

Danny Worsnop rejoined the band in 2016 after Stoff left for unspecified reasons. Lucky Asking Alexandria, then: turns out their new album is nothing less than a masterful return to form. The raw edges and unbridled guttural tones typical of their debut album Stand Up And Scream take us back to a time when metalcore belted its lungs out without thinking. Standout Song - Twenty-One Grams 2. What's everyone's opinion on their records and how do you stack them up? Lyrically, musically, creatively - it's such a good listen. Keen-eared listeners will notice the gravelly tones of frontman Danny Worsnop casually elbowing out his signature slick vocals throughout third album From Death To Destiny, but that only adds to the charm of this unashamed banger. Looking back now, guitarist Cameron Liddell acknowledges it was a trying period for the band. Complete with a melody that neatly controls their signature rage, Closure strongly confirms these five guys are an utterly bonkers yet brilliant instrumental powerhouse. Thrill Seeker - Because it's on the bottom of the list for their full 11 track records doesn't make it bad, but it's not their strongest.
