It really is nicely done. Do you think your approach to the lyrics helps with conveying the emotions you want to convey? Those are good albums to be influenced by! I was wondering, do you have any plans to perform live in the future? Yeah I think it does! Looking back at those years with shame With nobody but myself to blame Trying to avoid these images in my head My sanity hanging by a thread Only presence can undo the past in you Redirect the thoughts and become something new Don't forget to live for now, what holds you back is an illusion We manufacture our own reality, make the right choice and end the delusion I could feel so much regret But this story isn't over yet Nobody knows what the future holds But it's not what the past has told Realize That the power lies within End the misery End the suffering This moment is all that remains Relinquish this needless disdain Get the embed code Sorrow Plagues - Homecoming Album Lyrics1. No problem, thanks for doing this! Sorrow Plagues really like their pretty passages because that opening guitar line just twinkles. My priority is to just keep releasing music at the moment. I always like to go out for long walks, I seem to naturally want to pick up my guitar after being in nature. In fact, I wondered for a bit if it would evolve into something else at all.

I definitely want to do it live in the future and I have some cool ideas about what I can do with the live performance. These bands could be a great introduction to black metal for people who are put off by the really abrasive stuff. Blackgaze was something I wanted to ask you about as well. Musically, the first thing that always comes to mind is Woods Of Desolation. Right, so first, thanks for agreeing to do this interview! It is funny how two people can listen to the same piece of music and feel wildly different things. Going back to the writing process for a moment — a lot of blackgaze and atmospheric black metal seems to be about channelling emotions in a very direct and raw way.

So where do you go from here? Then I just think of a name for the song that summarizes the lyrics! It all feels a bit cinematic for me. Will you be working on new music, or working on getting some live shows booked, or maybe both? Be sure to check out the site, more reviews to come soon. Upon first listen it almost sounds like your usual symphonic black metal. This is just a preview! And by the way, yeah, the guitar could have been mixed at least a little bit louder. When it comes to lyrics I have a pretty strange approach, I just kinda do them on the spot without writing them down. .

But I ordered them in the way I saw fit. But I believe it also allows people to interpret it however they like. You heard it here first. But as the song progresses it becomes more than that. I definitely like that idea.

For the ones that reach out not to fall It will tear them apart to know how the light fades We'll lose our grasp But the worthless are saved The reasons crumble to the floor ash to ash dust to dust No perspective on life We lose our grasp we lose our grasp Just hanging by a thread we'll take our chances Even though I'm a wreck I'll keep on fighting until the end I cannot say a word I am left breathless How can we live when knowing we lose the ones that we love? You know type, the lush keyboard arrangements, the blast beats that may never end. So, when it comes to both the lyrics and the music itself — what artists or things more generally are you inspired by? Yeah I can agree with that!
