Expand the battlefield with the Clone Campaigns addon. These new units and technologies do help speed the game up, but some missions can still take an unnecessary amount of time to complete. With the adding of numerous new units, changing the balance of the game by increasing in the population limit to 250 units, and playing the original campaigns with the new enhancements, those who enjoyed Galactic Battlegrounds will still log many hours with Clone Campaigns. This causes any innovation is difficult; in particular, the game system is not well adapted to handle aerial units, which remain motionless in the air, turn around instantly, and other errors. Enter the fray as the Galactic Empire, Rebel Alliance, Wookies, Trade Federation, Gungans or Royal Naboo to determine the course of the Galactic Civil War. For instance, the Royal Naboo collect nova crystals faster, the mechanized Trade Federation builds structures without houses, and Wookiees regenerate hit points. Squeezing as many units as possible under a shield and marching forth virtually untouched is a great battle option. Thus, deploying a master to take control of the enemy's buildings and people is a strategic option. Details of buildings and landscapes create an immersive feel, and each race is distinctive in appearance. It has an expansion that focuses on the second episode of the saga, Attack of the Clones.
Ground units have ranged attacks and the infantry tends to end up as cannon fodder. Red is good against infantry, blue is best against vehicles, and green destroys buildings. How would life have been if the Empire had conquered Endor, or if the Rebels had saved Hoth? The destiny of a galaxy hangs in the balance, and you are in command! Upgrading Jedi and Sith knights adds a solid layer to the game, as they can only be detected by turrets and bounty hunters, while everyone else is subjected to the old mind tricks. Some of that has to do with the buildings and other structures having too many hit points as it can take some time to destroy them even when attacked by numerous units. The missions use almost no triggers or events, and most are simple search and destroy missions, production missions, or a blend of the latter two. Sound: Sound effects, music and voice acting are nicely done.
Those improvements do help bring new life into the game, but the gameplay hasn't changed that much with many of the same drawbacks found in the original. Building up feels the same as well, though of course you first have to learn what each particular building is for. The spaceships, while not built to scale, look good but have no type of motion, moving only when told. With six different races and the mix of gameplay styles, replay value is almost unlimited. It is full and complete game. Contact: , done in 0. In the latter, you start with a ton of resources and have to destroy your opponents almost immediately. Air units are similarly less powerful than you might expect. For example, the Galactic Empire scenario occurs between destruction of the first and second Death Stars, the Wookiee episode happens after the battle of Endor, and Trade Federation follows the war against the Naboo and Gungans. If you thought Galactic Battlegrounds could have been better and were hoping the improvements made would keep your attention, be cautious.
